Suicide awareness – LivingWorks Start Program

Who is the course for?

Anyone who wants to learn how to recognise when someone is thinking about suicide and to connect them to help and support.

About this course

Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians between 15 and 44 years of age.

Stressful life events, trauma, mental illness and drug and alcohol abuse are some of the contributing factors to suicide. Many people lack the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support a friend, family member or co-worker who may be at risk of suicide. By helping to dispel the fear and stigma around suicide, the LivingWorks Start program contributes to an open and supportive community where people at risk can get the help they need to stay safe.

How the course is delivered

This course is facilitated through online learning across 4 modules (approx. 1 hour, self-directed).
